What we keep, and why

Identity FDE is run by Boston Identity, Boston, MA. This page describes the data the portal handles. Last updated 2026-10-21.

Your account

Sign-in uses Firebase Authentication (Google, or a one-time email link). Your email address stays there and is not copied into the portal's database. The database holds a display name you choose, optional goals, your consent choices, and the work you do here: assessment answers, mission evidence, written deliverables, mentor conversations and the scores computed from them.

Automated assessment

Grading is automated. Written deliverables and mentor conversations are sent to Anthropic's Claude API for scoring and responses, under terms where your text is never used to train models. Live protocol evidence is verified by this portal's own servers. No person reads your work unless you apply to the residency.

Feedback

A “Was this useful?” answer on a page, with any reasons and note you add, is stored with your account and read by Boston Identity staff to fix the content. One answer per page; a new answer replaces the old one.

Analytics

Google Analytics 4 runs on public pages with analytics storage denied by default in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, and advertising features off everywhere. Pages behind sign-in are not indexed.

Applying

If you apply, your competency levels, mission log, graded artefacts and two role-play transcripts are shared with Boston Identity as an applicant packet. Nothing is shared before you choose to apply.

Removal

Email info@bostonidentity.com from your sign-in address to have your account and work deleted. Applicant packets already sent are handled under the hiring records policy of Boston Identity.
